RULES


The AERO category will require one or all of the following items:

● A full rear disc wheel, any front depth wheel.
● An aero or tear-drop shaped cycling helmet.
● Clip-on or full piece aero handlebars.

The EDDY category will have all of the following items:

● A non-aero cycling helmet.
● Any depth wheelset [NO discs].
● Regular drop-style handlebars [NO aero bars].

* Clothing items [ie, skinsuits, shoecovers, etc.] will not be monitored.
* Once registered you can choose either category at any given event.

SAFETY GUIDELINES

● You are responsible for your own safety. Obey all traffic laws. The course is NOT closed for the event. You are deemed to be a regular road user.
● Course marshalls are stationed at each intersection. They are there to assist you, but you are solely responsible for obeying all traffic laws.
● Course marshalls are NOT in place for warm-ups or cool downs. Be aware of traffic.
● Line up at the starting line on the far right in departure number order.
● Generally ride to the right as you would when normally using the road. Do not cross yellow lines.
● Respect the rights of other road users. Allow plenty of room when passing pedestrians or other cyclists.
● When passing another TT participant, abide by traffic laws pertaining to passing another road user. Do not pass to the right. Maintain a speed sufficient to get clear of the other participant.
● When being passed by another TT participant, you must allow a five bike length gap to be created before you make an attempt to catch and pass that participant.
● Do not ride with your head down.
● A race commissaire is on hand at each event and will have final decision in all matters.
● Helmet use is mandatory.

RACING GUIDELINES

● Missed start times will be accommodated [if possible] after the last racer has departed. No guarantees.
● No drafting. Leave 5 bike lengths behind and in front of participants. Time penalties issued for drafting infractions.
● Ride through the finish line and continue riding in the same direction so as not to interfere with riders finishing behind.
● To avoid congestion and ensure safety on the course, do not continue riding on the course once you have finished. This will result in your disqualification.
● Riders shall not approach the timekeepers for information on times during the event. All times posted following the event.
